September 1 - Concerts On the Lawn - Last concert & BBQ, Library Lawn, 6:30 to 8:00pm. BBQ 5:00 - 6:30pm. Jim Hayward and Willowridge. In case of rain all concerts will be held in the Town Hall. Please bring a donation for the Clarington Food Bank and your Lawn Chair.

September 11 - Durham Central Fair Parade. Begins at 10:30 am. Register by September 9 by calling 289-385-8985 or email: parade@oronofair.com

September 25 - 12th Annual Chili Cook-Off and the 5th Annual Pie Contest - An annual event, where contestants cook-up their home-made chili - right on Main Street! 10am to 4pm. Live Band, Jumping Castle, Silent Auction. Ganaraska Cloggers and Pie Auction at noon, Chili tasting begins at 1:30pm. Contestants: General Information here. Chili Rules here. All contestants must sign up at one of these three locations - Orono Weekly Times, Terrens Wellness Centre, or Ruby's Pizzeria, Main Street, Orono.
